With fresh sea breezes and a casual but cosmopolitan style, Sausalito is often compared to the Mediterranean Riviera. Beautifully situated on Richardson Bay, the city is a charming blend of vibrant storefronts and artisanal shops in a seaside village atmosphere. The list of things to do here seems endless. Hike, bike or drive along the vast network of trails in the Marin Headlands. Learn about the rescue and rehabilitation work being done at the Marine Mammal Center. Witness one of the last stands of ancient coast redwood forest at Muir Woods. Charter a boat and explore the extraordinary beauty of the Sausalito coastline. Or simply savor a cappuccino at one of the outdoor cafes as you breathe in the fresh sea air and watch the sailboats pass by. Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa offers the ideal home base.
